** Shares of Zenith Minerals ZNC.AX rise as much as 12.7%
to A$0.310 - stock to post best session since Sept. 20, if gains
hold
** Co announces new wide high-grade gold intersections at
the Cowarra gold project in New South Wales
** Says project will form part of Mackerel Metals Ltd, the
proposed spin-off of co and which is planned to hold ZNC's gold
and base metal assets
** Stock hits highest level since Sept. 23
** As of last close, ZNC down ~10% this year
