I have 2 portfolios. The largest is an ISA where the shareholding is well diversified, some of those shares are income producing, some are funds and some have been selected for growth. As a general rule, whatever I buy here will usually be held for a number of years. I usually only end up making investment decisions here 2 or 3 times a year.
My other portfolio focuses purely on small caps and most of the shares here are ones which I tend to spend a great deal of time researching on. My buys here focus purely on capital gain which I think can be made from some of my picks.
