Retired - Career in health and social care, and management consulting
A Surrey boy, care of European parents. Educated at Essex and London Universities and at Ashridge. I had a career in health and social care, and management consulting. Now I am an experienced private investor (which means that I have made more mistakes than most people).
I live with with my wonderful wife G.
I split my portfolio 60/40, Investment Trusts/Individual (usually smaller) companies. This helps me manage my portfolio across assets and geography.
Prefer to avoid indebted companies and those who don’t make a profit (it’s too easy to get caught up in a good story of future profits).
I like quality companies that have evidence of capacity, ability and rationale for growth.
