I am a 30-something-year-old guy and living in London.

I have been privately investing since leaving university in 2010 and been a Stockopedia member since April 2015. I see investing as a method to be able to eventually (within 5-10 years) reduce the time I spend at work in order to spend it with those I care about: Friends and family.

My investing has always been based in academic research since starting in 2010/11. I have known about what the key factors are that drive excess returns for most of my investing career and have endeavoured to stick to them.

Stockopedia has greatly improved my investing as it enables me to cut out all the dross shares immediately. This enables me to then compare good solid companies that are not ridiculously expensive, and also points me to all the smaller companies that fall into that category that I otherwise may never have heard of.

I feel it has enabled me to treat this as a business operation rather than a personal hobby that happens to make returns.
