Investment strategy

Somewhat under half LTB&H well-diversified holdings of large cap, high-yield UK stocks, very rarely traded apart from reinvesting dividends surplus to what I need for other purposes. Somewhat under half small cap, mostly-AIM stocks, more actively chosen and traded, but still aiming to hold long-term and quite often actually ending up holding for years (a significant motivation for this part of my portfolio, though not the only one or even the most important, is Inheritance Tax reduction should the worst happen). The rest is mostly various odds and ends that I've picked up over time and for various reasons don't want to sell (at least not yet!). I do not use derivatives - IMHO they're more trouble than they're worth in a long-term-oriented, highly-diversified portfolio like mine. == To explain my answer to one of the specific questions, I normally trade any particular stock I hold pretty rarely - less than one time per year on average, and many have gone years since I last traded them. But I have enough holdings that that still adds up to trading most months, making "monthly" the closest answer to the question.
