I've been investing in stocks on and off over the last 20+ years.  First foray into investing was the dot-com boom, which I caught early, and resulting  over-confidence led to  some horrendous losses. 

Slowly re-entered the market and have made steady gains in fits and starts since then. Mainly invested in ETFs and funds during busy period of my career. More recently I've started investing in individual stocks. 

Interested primarily in high growth technology stocks (eCommerce, AI, IoT, semi-conductors) and renewable & alternative energy sectors,  with a smattering of good old fashioned value stocks to balance the portfolio. Happy to invest in growing sectors abroad (US, China, Japan, India). 

Every now and then, will venture into more risky alternative sectors and small caps if convinced by the opportunity.
