U.S. Cash Grains-Soy bids unchanged at processors, river terminals; sales slow

CHICAGO, March 6 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for
soybeans were flat at processors and river terminals around the
U.S. Midwest on Monday morning, dealers said.
    * The soy basis was steady to weak at the region's interior
elevators, falling by 2 cents a bushel in Cincinnati, Ohio.
    * Farmer sales of soybeans were slow despite a surprise
rally in the futures market that pulled cash prices higher, an
Iowa dealer said.
    * Growers were focused on preparing their equipment and
finalizing plans for spring planting, the dealer added.
    * Cash bids for corn were steady to weak at processors,
steady to firm along rivers and flat at interior elevators and
ethanol plants.
    * Farmers also were waiting to see the impact of the release
of the U.S. Agriculture Department's monthly supply and demand
report on Wednesday. The report is expected to show tighter
global corn and soy stocks and lower production outlooks for
Brazil and Argentina.
