** Copper fell on Friday and was headed for its biggest weekly decline since March as a sell-off in technology stocks rattled broader markets MET/L
** Shares of both BHP BHP.AX and Rio Tinto RIO.AX decline over 3%
** Aussie miners up 1.1% so far this week, their second consecutive week of gains
** YTD, sub-index up 4.8%
