Feb 8 (Reuters) - Romanian lender BRD Group Societe
Generale ROBRD.BX , majority-controlled by France's Societe
Generale SOGN.PA :
* Says its net profit rose 1.4% on the year in 2022 to
roughly
1.34 billion lei ($294.16 million), driven in part by a rise in
corporate and retail lending, and higher fee reveue.
* Says BRD Group's net banking income rose roughly 11.7% on
the
year to 3.46 billion lei.
* Says BRD Group net loans, including leasing receivables,
rose
10.4% on the year.
* Says return on equity was 15.9% in 2022, up from 13.4% in
the
previous year.
* Says the quality of the loan portfolio was solid as shown
by the
non-performing loans ratio (according to EBA definition) of 2.5%
at the end of December, from 3.1% at the end of 2021.
* Says board of directors decided not to propose a dividend
from
2022 profit, "to ensure enough lending capacity while respecting
on a permanent basis, including in severely adverse conditions
the regulated ratios."
