TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') announces that on 7 December 2016 it transferred 2,742 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans. The transfer price was 547 pence. Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 542,284 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 150,101,444ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
