Wall Street's main indexes soared on Thursday with the S&P 500 and the Dow
hitting intraday record highs after the Federal Reserve kicked off its monetary
easing cycle with half-a-percentage point reduction and forecast more interest
rate cuts were on the horizon. .N
At 1341 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1.47% at
42,111.47. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 1.95% at 5,727.69 and the Nasdaq Composite
.IXIC was up 2.81% at 18,067.481.
