Wall Street indexes rose on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping agreed to negotiate on tariffs that have weighed on global markets, while investors awaited a key jobs report to gauge the labor market's health.  .N

At 1330 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.21% at 42,507.93.The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.07% at 5,974.63, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.06% at 19,472.34.
