Dec 13 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1030 GMT on
Wednesday:

    ** Private equity firm Bain Capital has sold a $448 million
stake in Indian private lender Axis Bank  AXBK.NS  in a block
trade, according to a term sheet seen by Reuters.

    ** Hearing aid maker Amplifon  AMPF.MI  said it acquired
Uruguay's Audical Group, allowing the Italian company to enter a
market with high growth potential.

    ** Australia's Sigma Healthcare  SIG.AX  surged more than
76% to post a record intraday jump, after the company said on
Monday it would merge with Chemist Warehouse Group to form an
A$8.8 billion ($5.77 billion) entity.

    ** State-backed Japan Investment Corp (JIC) said it would
join Dai Nippon Printing  7912.T  and Mitsui Chemicals  4183.T 
to buy out Shinko Electric Industries  6967.T  for 684.9 billion
yen ($4.71 billion).

    ** Financial services firm Codorus Valley  CVLY.O  will
merge with Orrstown Financial  ORRF.O  in an all-stock deal,
creating a bank with $5.2 billion in assets.
