JAKARTA, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Car sales in Indonesia
increased on monthly basis to 37,277 cars but still down 58.84%
compared with the same period in 2019, data from Astra
International, citing the car association showed on Tuesday.
"Astra car and national car sales in the last three months
have slowly increased," Boy Kelana Soebroto, head of corporate
communication at Astra, said in a statement. "We hope this
recovery continues."
Toyota 8015.T , Daihatsu 6023.T , and Nissan 7201.T were
market leaders in August as Daihatsu sales jumped more than 328%
on monthly basis, while Nissan sold 6,829 units in August after
selling 188 units a month prior.
