** Shares of Desert Metals Ltd  DM1.AX  rise as much as 8.7%
to A$0.250, their biggest intraday pct gain since Nov. 16
    ** The nickel and copper miner says assay results from the
Innouendy project in Western Australia further confirmed rare
earths mineralisation 
    ** Adds it is planning further follow-up drilling in early
2023
    ** Stock has fallen 36.1% this year, as of last close
