SARAJEVO, May 2 (Reuters) - Bosnia's 300 megawatt (MW)
coal-fired Gacko power plant RITE.BJ has been reconnected to
the grid after annual maintenance, the plant's production
manager said on Tuesday.
The maintenance was completed 10 days ahead of schedule and
the plant was reconnected to the grid late on Monday, Borivoje
Vujicic told Reuters.
The Gacko and Ugljevik coal-fired power plants are run by
Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske ERST.BJ , Bosnia's
second-largest power utility. Bosnia produces 40 percent of its
energy from hydropower and the remainder from ageing coal-fired
plants.
