Energiekontor falls after slashing 2026 earnings target on Scotland delays
BUZZ-Energiekontor falls after slashing 2026 earnings target on Scotland delays ** Shares in Energiekontor EKTG.DE fall 11.8% in early Frankfurt trade after the German renewable energy developer cut its 2026 earnings guidance late on Thursday
** Energiekontor now expects consolidated earnings before tax of €5 million to €10 million ($5.8 million to $11.5 million) in 2026, down from the previous range of €40 million to €60 million
** It says the cut is due to significantly later grid connection dates for several Scottish wind park projects that were previously scheduled for 2029 and have been pushed back to 2031
** Two of the three delayed projects were a key part of Energiekontor's 2026 guidance and are currently in the sales process, with earnings contributions now more likely to be deferred to the next financial year
** "The reason for this is ongoing legal proceedings against the approval granted to the grid operator," it says
** On Thursday, Energiekontor also posted H1 net loss of €5.3 million
($1 = 0.8665 euros)
