Fujitsu chairman quits on 'inappropriate conduct', company says

- Fujitsu 6702.T Chairman Hidenori Furuta resigned on Tuesday at his request after the board of directors became aware of "his inappropriate conduct," the Japanese technology conglomerate said.

Fujitsu has withdrawn Furuta's candidacy as a non-executive director in the annual shareholders' meeting slated for later this month, it said.

The company did not give details about his conduct. Furuta, formerly Fujitsu's chief operating officer, became chairman in 2024, according to the company's website.
