May 7 (Reuters) - German consumer goods and adhesives maker Henkel HNKG.DE reported an organic 1.7% rise in first-quarter sales on Thursday, matching market expectations, driven by both of its business units.
The group's sales in the January-March period fell to 4.95 billion euros ($5.82 billion) from 5.24 billion euros a year ago in non-organic terms, but came in line with an analysts' average estimate in a Vara Research poll.
