Henkel rises on Q1 organic sales beat

** Shares in Henkel HNKG.DE are up 3.4% after the German consumer goods and adhesives maker reported organic sales growth that beat market expectations

** The company reported an organic 1.7% rise in Q1 sales, driven by both of its business units, and compared to an average estimate of 1.1% in a Vara Research poll

** "This is a helpful update, vols holding up better than feared," Jefferies says

** The broker says the results are ahead of consensus expectations across the report, critically with the underlying consumer brands unit volume in growth
