Citi taps HSBC, UBS execs to bolster APAC debt capital markets team June 22 (Reuters) - Citigroup C.N on Monday said it has made two new appointments to its debt capital markets franchise in Asia Pacific to strengthen its leveraged and syndicated financing capabilities in the region.
Here are some details:
Anthony Yap will join Citi as head of leveraged finance for Australia and New Zealand. He most recently served as HSBC's HSBA.L, 0005.HK head of private capital group coverage and financing, Australia and New Zealand
Yap has over two decades of experience leading and structuring complex transactions across more than 20 jurisdictions in Europe and Asia Pacific. He will join Citi at the end of August this year
Maria Chua will join as a director covering leveraged and syndicated loans in Southeast Asia. She has over 15 years of experience, with expertise spanning debt advisory, syndicated loans, private credit, and specialised structured finance
Chua last served as head of leveraged finance origination for Asia at UBS UBSG.S, and will join Citi next month
