** Stock set for best session since March 17

** Miner receives firm commitments to raise ~A$8.4 mln ($6.1 mln) via placement

** Issue price of A$0.46/share represents 18.6% discount to last close

** Proceeds to advance McDermitt, support completion of proposed U.S. Elemental Inc NASDAQ listing

** About 493,000 shares traded, 2.5x the 30-day avg

** YTD, JLL down more than 10%
