** Shares in Jyske Bank JYSK.CO rise around 7% to their highest since late March after the Danish lender's Q1 core income beat market expectations
** Q1 core income was DKK 3,229 million ($491.90 million), 3% ahead of estimates in a company-provided consensus
** The strong Q1 performance came from higher-than-expected net interest income, outperformance in commission income, positive market performance in financial items, and effective cost control, says SEB note
** Jyske Bank maintained its guidance but "the broad-based beats should justify share price gains, and we anticipate a positive tailwind for consensus EPS revisions," the broker adds
** If gains hold, the stock will see its biggest one-day rise since June 2022
