    * Says it will repurchase 24.8 million shares of its common 
stock (a 10 percent stake) during the period from Oct. 20 to 
Dec. 19 
    * Says the price range of shares to be repurchased is T$7.5 
per share ~ T$13 per share 
    * Total share repurchase consideration is T$712.9 million
