COPENHAGEN, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Norway has ordered more
National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) worth
2.7 billion Norwegian crowns ($238 million) from defence
manufacturer Kongsberg Gruppen KOG.OL , the Nordic country's
government said on Thursday.
The contract includes new multi-missile canister launchers
and new Fire Distribution Centres for NASAMS, replacing
equipment previously donated to Ukraine as well as building up
further capacity, Kongsberg said in a statement.
"Air defence is one of the highest priority areas in the
new long-term spending plan. We are therefore pleased to have
quickly translated plans into action," Norway's Defence Material
Agency said.
