Australia's Liontown jumps after Macquarie holds rating despite FY results miss

** Shares of battery minerals producer Liontown Resources LTR.AX advance as much as 5.5% to A$0.955, posting their biggest pct gain since September 15

** LTR's FY25 statutory net loss after tax of A$193 mln ($126.09 mln) missed Macquarie and Visible Alpha estimates by ~30% and 90% respectively, though underlying EBITDA was in line after excluding non-cash inventory write-downs

** Macquarie says results reflect past performance and don’t impact its future production or cost outlook, and retains "underperform" rating and A$0.65 price target

** Adds, results fell short of estimates primarily due to net interest charges and non-cash inventory write-downs, among other factors

** Stock currently at 4.7%, taking YTD gains to 80.5%
