UNICREDIT CRDI.MI

(*) Italy's second-biggest bank on Wednesday confirmed its profit outlook for the year after reporting a higher-than-expected quarterly income thanks to trading gains.

Conference call scheduled at 0800 GMT.

(*) In recent weeks, in view of a possible move on BPER bank EMII.MI, UniCredit CEO Andrea Orcel attempted to approach the lender's largest shareholder, Unipol UNPI.MI, but the head of the insurance group has not yet agreed to meet with the top banker, Il Messaggero reported on Wednesday.

(*) UniCredit's relationship with Greece's Alphabank ACBr.AT - in which it holds a 26% stake - is excellent and the bank will probably lift its holding to around 30%, Orcel told CNBC in an interview on Wednesday.

Ahead of its shareholders meeting, early next year, which will renew its board of directors, the current board of the bank is considering presenting its own slate of candidates following the rules in a recently-approved corporate governance law, under which the outgoing board's list needs to be approved by at least two-thirds of the existing directors, Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Wednesday.

     Stellantis' Warren site in Michigan will remain shut down for several weeks due to a shortage of key components after a fire at a key aluminium supplier earlier this month, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday.

Production at the company's Warren plant, which was halted on October 13, will stay idle until the week of November 3, Bloomberg reported citing an email from Stellantis.

The board of the Italian aerospace and defence group held a crucial meeting on Tuesday to review a tentative deal to forge a new European satellite manufacturerwith its existing partner Thales TCFP.PA and rival Airbus AIR.PA, people familiar with the matter said.

An announcement could be as early as Wednesday, barring a last minute setback.

(*) The governance of the new venture should be on a rotating basis, to ensure equal representation for the three companies, La Stampa reported on Wednesday, without citing sources.

The Italian TV group has tightened its grip on German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 by appointing Marco Giordani as chief executive, marking a shift in leadership after the TV group controlled by Italy's Berlusconi family closed its takeover bid in September.

The food group said on Wednesday it had set the price range for the London listing of its Princes unit between 475 pence and 590 pence per share, implying an estimated market capitalisation of between £1.162 billion - £1.243 billion ($1.56 billion - $1.67 billion).
