Japan's Nidec cancels buyback, withdraws earnings forecast for this FY
TOKYO, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Japan's Nidec 6954.T on Thursday said it has cancelled a share buyback programme that was approved in May. The Kyoto-based company said it will not pay an interim dividend and has withdrawn its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2026, with its year-end dividend forecast now listed as undetermined. The manufacturer said in September it would set up an independent committee to investigate the possible involvement of management in improper accounting.
