if gains hold
** Stock at its highest level since Aug 28
** Mineral explorer says numerous gold nuggets discovered at
Comet Well and Comet Well South project areas
** 22.7 mln shares change hands, vs 30-day average volume of
643,441 shares
** Stock has fallen 38.1% YTD, as of 0030 GMT
