Turkey's Pegasus says it cancelled Tuesday's flights to Beirut

ISTANBUL, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Turkish airline Pegasus
PGSUS.IS cancelled its flights to Beirut on Tuesday due to
risk assessments on the situation in Lebanon, the company told
Reuters.
Similar decisions have been taken by other airlines as
Israel strikes Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, increasing
fears of a full-blown conflict after Lebanon suffered its
deadliest day in decades.
Earlier, the website of Rafic Hariri International Airport
showed that more than 30 flights to and from Beirut on Tuesday
had been cancelled, including those of Turkish Airlines
 THYAO.IS .
Turkish Airlines has not yet responded to Reuters' questions
on the issue of flight cancellations. Pegasus said its flight
decisions are made daily based on risk assessments.
