** Shares of Africa-focused gold miner Perseus Mining
 PRU.AX  rise as much as 3.7% to A$2.53
    ** Stock hits its highest level since Oct. 26, 2012
    ** Ivory Coast's mining minister says "We expect in the
coming months, and years to date, in addition to the KONÉ
project, for gold mining, other world-class discoveries"
    ** Minister says high chances the "western half and
north-east of Ivory Coast are full of strategic and critical
minerals"
    ** Perseus Mining operates two gold mines in Ivory Coast
that contributed ~60% of the company's total production in 2023
    ** Stock has risen 31.9% this year, as of last close
