Petrobras keeps natural gas prices to distributors unchanged
Petrobras keeps natural gas prices to distributors unchanged SAO PAULO, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Brazilian state-run oil firm Petrobras PETR3.SA will keep the average selling price of natural gas to distributors stable in the quarter that began on Nov. 1, the company said in a statement on Wednesday, citing a temporary mechanism to reduce price volatility.
The mechanism, announced in June and in effect since August, sets price bands for Brent crude in calculating natural gas prices sold to distributors
It was created after the government launched fuel subsidy programs to mitigate the impact of high international prices on inflation
Without the protection, the average gas molecule price would have risen about 4.9% starting in November
