Italy - Factors to watch on Nov. 27

The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday.

    POLITICS
    The European Commission said on Friday it had given a
positive assessment of Italy's proposals to revise its
post-COVID recovery plan, including investments and reforms to
make the country's economy greener under the REPowerEU scheme.
    
    Italy's government is working with European Union
authorities to secure a fourth instalment of post-COVID funds
worth 16.5 billion euros ($18.00 billion) by the end of this
year, EU Affairs Minister Raffaele Fitto said on Friday.

    Italian government members are likely to be targeted soon by
hostile prosecutors who want to bring down the government,
Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said in an interview with daily
Corriere della Sera on Sunday, citing information from unnamed
sources. His words drew an angry reaction from the judiciary and
the political opposition, who called on Crosetto to provide
evidence or reveal his sources.
    
    Industry Minister Adolfo Urso is on an official mission to
the Arabian peninsula until Nov. 28, with meetings in Qatar,
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Urso will again
invite Arab sovereign wealth funds to invest in a new government
fund to support domestic firms.
        
    BANKS
    BPER, Mediobanca, BNL and Iccrea have been added to the 2024
list of systemically important institutions in Italy, the Bank
of Italy said on Friday.
    
    COMPANIES
    CAMPARI  CPRI.MI 
    Italian spirits group Campari and Chinese group Sichuan
Yibin Wuliangye, known for the Chinese liquor baijiu, have
signed a memorandum of understanding for strategic cooperation,
they said on Friday.
    
        TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
    Tim will receive around 700 million euros from state-owned
Infratel as advance payment for the rollout of ultra fast
broadband in poorly connected areas and for the development of
the 5G network, sources close to the matter said on Saturday.
The payments come after a green light from Infratel's board.
Rival Open Fiber will receive 540 million euros, the sources
