    HEALTH MINISTER: President Milos Zeman is expected to meet
Prime Minister Andrej Babis's nominee for new health minister on
Tuesday. Babis, who has not named his pick, moved to sack the
current minister last week for a reported violation of COVID

    CENTRAL BANK'S RUSNOK: The Czech National Bank will not "sit
idle" if the crown were to depreciate too much although that is
not expected, Governor Jiri Rusnok was quoted on Tuesday as
saying.

    COVID MEASURES TIGHTEN: The Czech government ordered a 9
p.m. curfew and will limit retail sales on Sundays as part of
tighter measures to curb the spread of novel coronavirus
infections, ministers said on Monday.

    COVID-19 STATISTICS: The Czech Republic reported 10,273 new
COVID-19 cases on Monday.
    The country of 10.7 million has reported a total of 268,370
COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started in March. There are
162,785 active cases currently.
    Deaths have climbed to 2,365. The number of hospitalisations
has risen to 5,613, and those in intensive care number 828.

    SLOVAKIA: Slovakia may be able to avoid harsher
anti-coronavirus measures as a result of its plans for
nationwide testing scheduled to start this weekend, Prime

wage support scheme for firms hit by production limitations due
