COVID-19: The government meets in an extraordinary session
do debate whether or not to tighten anti-coronavirus measures
further. Meeting starts at 2:00 p.m. local time (1300 GMT)
CENTRAL BANK: All seven members of the Czech National Bank
board will attend the next monetary policy meeting on Nov. 5,
the central bank said on Thursday.

COVID-19 STATISTICS: The Czech Republic reported 13,051 new
COVID-19 cases on Thursday.
The country of 10.7 million has reported a total of 310,068
COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started in March. There are
178,578 active cases currently.
Deaths have climbed by 187 to 2,862. The number of
hospitalisations has dropped to 6,604, while the numer of those
in intensive care increased to 1,031.

CEE MARKETS: Central European currencies firmed on Thursday
afternoon, recouping some of their steep losses after the
European Central Bank hinted at fresh easing in December and on
better-than-expected GDP data from the United States.
