** Prescient Therapeutics PTX.AX falls as much as 8% to A$0.41, lowest since April 11

** Clinical stage oncology company targeting to raise A$7 mln ($4.6 mln) via share purchase plan (SPP)

** Issue price of A$0.040 represents 9% discount to last close

** Co says funds raised will be used to advance its targeted therapy PTX-100 through Phase 2 clinical development

** Around 1.3 mln shares traded, 1.5x its 30-day avg

** PTX last down 6.8%, taking YTD losses to 18%
