** Shares of Riversgold RGL.AX rise as much as 49.9% to A$0.009, their highest level since May 20, 2024

** Stock posts biggest intraday pct gain since February 11

** Gold explorer signs agreement with mining services provider MEGA Resources for its Northern Zone gold project near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia

** MEGA to fund development and mining in Northern Zone, with co & joint partner Oracle Power Plc ORCP.L to receive 50% of profits

** Co also to raise A$1.8 mln ($1.19 million) via placement at issue price of A$0.0045

** About 72.5 mln shares traded, 9.6x 30-day average

** YTD stock up 87.9%, including current session's move
