ECONOMY
The Italian government on Tuesday approved a decree that
would allow it to later put the troubled former Ilva steel
company under special administration, officials told Reuters,
amid a clash with main shareholder ArcelorMittal MT.LU .
COMPANIES

The phone group's directors will meet on Thursday to discuss
drawing up a slate of candidates for shareholders to vote upon
later this year which could hand CEO Pietro Labriola a second
mandate at the helm.

Italy's biggest utility said on Tuesday it had successfully
launched a dual-tranche 1.75-billion-euro sustainability-linked
bond in the eurobond market.
UNICREDIT CRDI.MI
The bank said on Tuesday it has postponed the board approval
of its fourth quarter and full-year 2023 results to Feb. 4, from
Feb. 1. The results will be published on Feb. 5, instead of Feb.
2, it added.
ENERGY COMPANIES
Italy's constitutional court will decide whether a 2023
one-off windfall tax on energy firms is lawful, an
administrative tribunal ruled on Tuesday, in a move that could
have significant repercussions for Rome's strained public
finances.

The bank's biggest investor Delfin has sold 0.06% of the
capital, thus leaving its stake unchanged at just under 20% to
balance the effect of the buyback started on Nov. 13.
