Zabka jumps on report of Seven & i investment talks
BUZZ-Zabka jumps on report of Seven & i investment talks ** Shares of Polish convenience store Zabka ZAB.WA rise as much as 11.6% and are on track for their best day ever
** The Nikkei daily says Japan's Seven & i Holdings 3382.T is in final talks to invest several hundred billion yen in the group
** mBank analyst Janusz Pieta says the news alleviates investor concerns over a supply overhang from CVC-controlled entity Heket Topco, which holds a 38% stake in company
** A deal would see a significant block of shares transferred to a strategic investor rather than the open market, easing selling pressure on the stock, he adds
** The move also reduces the risk of Seven & i becoming a direct competitor in Europe and could support Zabka's international growth, according to Pieta
** Up to previous close, shares were up 22.5% YTD
