* METALS: Copper slipped as Middle East uncertainties still lingered despite a preliminary U.S.-Iran deal, while falling retail sales data in China weighed on sentiment.
* GOLD: Gold prices edged higher, extending gains for a fourth straight session, as a preliminary U.S.-Iran peace agreement eased concerns about an interest rate hike, while investors awaited further details on the deal.
