India's ITC Hotels posts higher quarterly profit on rising room sales Oct 26 (Reuters) - ITC Hotels ITCT.NS, one of India's largest hospitality chains, reported a 51.4% rise in second-quarter profit on Monday, driven by an increase in room sales, sending shares higher.

The firm's total revenue from operations rose 25.6% to 10.54 billion rupees, outpacing the 18.8% rise in total expenses.

Shares of ITC Hotels jumped as much as 7.8% to 168.5 rupees after the results, before trimming some gains to trade 5% higher
