Transense Technologies plc (AIM: TRT), the provider of specialist sensor

activities and to forge strategic alliances.

Ryan is an award-winning engineer and business leader with more than 20
years' experience in the High-Performance, Heavy-Duty and Off-Highway
Automotive markets. Prominent in the development of Power Electronics,
Electric Motors and Drives (PEMD) for these demanding applications, he has

vehicle space. He is currently CEO of eTech49 Limited, an advisory business
specialising in disruptive hardware technology in PEMD. In addition, he is

in the north of England, a board member of the North East LEP and an advisor
to a number of corporations.

Ryan will help Transense to develop applications and opportunities for SAW
sensor technology to improve control, safety and efficiency in electric motor
propulsion and drive systems, across a range of high value applications and
sectors.

Nigel Rogers, Executive Chairman of Transense, said:

"We are delighted to confirm Ryan as an additional member of SAWCAP. He
brings a wealth of technical knowledge and applications expertise which is
highly relevant to the commercialisation of our proven technology. His
entrepreneurial background also provides valuable insights into the marketing
and promotion of complex solutions and access to a wide network. We are
looking forward to working with him on a number of new initiatives."

Ryan Maughan added:

"I am delighted to be part of the Transense SAWCAP at such an exciting time.
There is significant potential for SAW technology to provide robust and
reliable torque sensing in drive systems and electric motors to help improve
control, safety and efficiency. The technology has already proven itself as a
capable torque sensing solution in demanding applications such as aero engines
and motorsport. I am looking forward to working with the team to transfer the
