Australia's Volt Resources jumps on high-purity graphite production deal

** Graphite miner Volt Resources  VRC.AX  rises as much as
23.1% to A$0.032, its highest since Oct 25, 2021
    ** Co signs https://www.investi.com.au/api/announcements/vrc/cd54daf3-585.pdf
 a joint development agreement with alkaline battery producer
Urban Electric Power (UEP) and U.S.-based graphite technology
firm, American Energy Technologies Co 
    ** Deal to test non-spherical graphite used to produce
ultra-high purity graphite products to improve alkaline battery
performance
    ** Deal also has plans for an offtake agreement between VRC
and UEP for the supply of ultra-high purity graphite-based
coatings and additives
    ** VRC marks its biggest intraday pct jump since March 24;
on track for its fourth straight session of gains
    ** More than 38 mln shares change hands, vs the 30-day
average of 17.3 mln shares
    ** VRC down 7.1% this year, as of last close
