W.R. Berkley up on quarterly cash dividend increase, rise in stock buyback

** Shares of insurance holding firm W.R. Berkley  WRB.N  up
4.3% at $58.96 aftermarket
    ** Co's board approves increase in regular cash dividend to
an annual rate of 44 cents per share, representing a 10%
increase from the present rate
    ** Says first regular quarterly dividend at new rate of 11
cents per share will be paid on June 30
    ** WRB also raised its share repurchase authorization to 15
mln shares of common stock
    ** Up to today's close, stock had fallen 21.6% in 2023
