NZ's Warehouse Group hits 3-week high on jump in first-quarter sales

** Shares of Warehouse Group Ltd  WHS.NZ  rise as much as
3.4% to NZ$2.47, their highest since Oct. 22
    ** Retail group posts 6.3% rise in first qtr group sales to
NZ$738.5 mln ($504.69 mln)  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nNZW3x5tXH
    ** Online sales as a percentage of total group sales
increased to 11.3%, as co experienced significant online growth 
    **  Unit's same-store sales increased by 8.1%, driven mainly
by growth in the toys, leisure and outdoor categories
    ** Stock posts its biggest intraday pct gain since Nov. 6
    ** More than 123,000 shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of about 114,000
    ** Stock has fallen 15% this year, as of last close
