ZigZag

The ZigZag overlay ignores any price movement which is less than a given percentage (typically 10%). The overlay is drawn using a series of lines which change direction when the share price moves more than the predefined percentage.

Traders typically use this overlay to filter out the noise generated by smaller price movements and see price movement in terms of the big picture (ie. see the forest, instead of the trees). Parameters

  1. Distance - The minimum price movement required before a new line is plotted on the chart.
