Corrects 6th bullet point to say revenue in Germany fell 9%, not 20%

May 26 (Reuters) - Polish digital recruitment company Grupa Pracuj GPPP.WA reported a 3% drop in its first-quarter profit on Tuesday, as growth in its home market and Ukraine only partially offset weak German revenue, stemming from Softgarden recruitment software for corporations.

Grupa Pracuj is Poland's biggest provider of human resources technology. It also operates the country's largest online job recruitment platform, Pracuj.pl, along with Robota.ua in Ukraine.

Poland’s recruitment market is showing tentative signs of improvement, with job postings across 50 major portals slipping only slightly in April compared to a year ago, potentially nearing a return to growth after 11 months of declines, research by Grant Thornton showed.

Grupa Pracuj said reaching its revenue target of 1 billion zlotys by 2027 may be challenging under current market conditions

"Our measures are offsetting moderate demand in the white-collar segment - the strategy’s assumption of a 10% volume increase in this category by 2027 currently appears to be a significant challenge" - CEO Przemyslaw Gacek

However, an EBITDA result above 400 million zlotys is "entirely achievable" by 2027, the group said

Quarterly revenue rose 2.2% to 209.4 million zlotys, broadly in line with the 209 million expected by analysts

Revenue rose 5% to 152.2 million zlotys in Poland and jumped 15% to 16.5 million zlotys in Ukraine, but fell 9% to 41.9 million zlotys in Germany

The group's adjusted EBITDA was 97.8 million zlotys in the quarter
