       Jan 8 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions, and disposals were reported by 1430 GMT on
Wednesday:

    ** Two potential buyers for Glencore's  GLEN.L  stake in
mothballed New Caledonian nickel producer Koniambo Nickel SAS
(KNS) have submitted offers following site visits late last
year, KNS said.

    ** Italy's Banca Ifis  IF.MI   made a 298 million euro ($309
million) surprise offer in shares and cash for rival specialty
lender illimity  ILTY.MI , to bulk up in a competitive market.

    ** Lufthansa  LHAG.DE  is set to acquire a stake in Italian
state-owned airline ITA on Jan. 13, a source familiar with the
situation told Reuters, bringing to a close years of talks.

    ** Roche  ROG.S  said it planned to complete its purchase of
U.S. biopharmaceutical company Poseida Therapeutics  PSTX.O , a
specialist in complex immune cell therapies to treat several
types of blood cancer.

    ** Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co  GT.O  said on Tuesday that it
will sell its Dunlop brand to Japan's Sumitomo Rubber Industries
 5110.T  for $701 million in cash as part of a plan to
streamline its business.
