STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
Increasing revenues from new models will be a key pillar of Stellantis' future strategy and a way to restore cash generation, new CEO Antonio Filosa said on Thursday as he started to sketch out the automaker's new business plan.
The automaker is reintroducing models, including Jeep Cherokee and 8-cylinder RAM trucks, after dropping them proved to be one of the causes of the group's declining sales since 2024, Filosa said.
(*) The CEO also said a final scenario with U.S. tariffs was getting clearer and the group would soon take actions based on that.
(*) Combustion-engined cars "will remain on the (EU) market" beyond 2035, the head of the conservative European People's Party (EPP) in the European Parliament, Manfred Weber, said in an interview with La Stampa daily on Friday, backing proposals to water down the EU's automotive electrification plans. The EPP is the largest party in the EU assembly.

The Italian rocket maker approved a 400-million-euro ($468.96 million) capital increase plan on Thursday to finance expanded manufacturing capacity at a time of robust opportunities in the global space and defence industries.

The Italian luxury group announced on Thursday that its Chief Financial Officer Pierre La Tour would leave the company on September 26, after one and a half years in the role, to pursue new professional opportunities.
Paolo La Morgia, currently planning and control director, will be the new CFO on an interim basis, it added.

S&P Global Ratings said on Thursday it had placed Mediobanca's 'BBB+' long-term credit rating on CreditWatch negative after Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) secured 62% of the merchant bank in a takeover bid.
