(*) Mediobanca said on Friday it would offer shareholders rewards worth 4.9 billion euros ($5.73 billion), mostly in cash, over three years to 2028 as it seeks to fend off a hostile bid from smaller rival MPS.

The Central Bank of India will be the new partner of the Italian top insurer in the joint-venture through which it operates in India, MF reported on Friday.

The state-controlled financial conglomerate is considering reorganising the group to spin off its subsidiary Poste Mobile and integrate it with the activities of Telecom Italia TLIT.MI, in which Poste Italiane recently acquired a 25% stake, Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Friday. All banking and financial assets would be brought under the control of BancoPosta, it added.
CAMPARI CPRI.MI
The Italian spirits group has agreed to sell its historic Cinzano vermouth and its Frattina grappa brands to domestic rival Caffo Group 1915 for 100 million euros ($117 million), it said on Thursday.
BPER EMII.MI, BANCA POP SONDRIO BPSI.MI
Italian insurer Unipol UNPI.MI, the main shareholder in Banca Popolare di Sondrio, said on Thursday it had agreed to BPER's bid for the smaller rival.

The Italian energy group has hired Rothschild to select a partner for its 400-megawatt wind portfolio in a deal that could be valued at up to 800 million euros, MF reported on Friday. Infrastructure funds such as BlackRock, Antin, and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, as well as insurance funds including Predica and Meridiam, could be interested in the deal, the newspaper added.
ILLIMITY ILTY.MI, BANCA IFIS IF.MI
As of Thursday, 52.3% of the digital bank's share capital had adhered to the offer launched by rival specialty lender Banca Ifis for its entire capital, up from 32.1% the previous day, according to a statement released by the Italian market watchdog.
(*) Illimity CEO Corrado Passera said on Friday he would tender its 3.97% stake to Banca Ifis' offer.
The full voluntary takeover bid for Illimity shares ends on Friday.
